15. Feb 2016

Örlygur Kristfinnsson, Director of the Herring Museum of Iceland, will retire on April 1st, 2016, after 20 years in this role. The Museum Board met last week and decided to promote Anita Elefsen to this role. Anita has been the curator of the museum for the past 5 years. It should be noted that Örlygur does not plan to leave the museum permanently - it is expected that he will continue in a part-time or project-specific role.
